Wormhole Bridge Gets Upended; TTYL ETH

A bridge between the Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) networks was compromised, and more than $320 Million was siphoned from the bridge. An etherscan record details the incident. Wormhole acts as a bridge between the Ethereum and Solana network, as users will utilize both blockchains interchangeably.

Solana is a competing network to Ethereum, attempting to soldify more ground in the DeFi and NFT landscape.

Instances like this don’t bode well for the security and sanctity on cryptocurrency as a whole, especially at a time when government oversight is becoming more and more imminent.
